Materials, Tolerances and Finishing

Brass, stainless, steel, aluminum or plastics; +/-0.005 mm turning tolerances; ultrasonic cleaning that keeps anodizing and plating adhesion reliable.

Materials and Where They Fit

Brass and copper alloys are commonly selected for conductivity and machinability, stainless steel for corrosion resistance, carbon and alloy steel for strength, aluminum alloys when weight matters, and engineering plastics for insulation. Final feasibility depends on part geometry, material condition, process route and inspection method.

Tolerances and Surface

General tolerance follows the drawing; turning tolerances hold to +/-0.005 mm and selected features reach +/-0.002 mm, with surface roughness down to Ra 0.4 um. For long runs, batch tolerance stays within +/-0.003 mm from the first piece to the hundred-thousandth. Feasibility is confirmed per drawing.

Cleaning Before Surface Treatment

Cutting-oil residue is a root cause when anodizing, plating or coating turns black, blisters or peels. A fully automatic six-station ultrasonic cleaning line - ultrasonic rough wash, pure-water fine wash, multi-stage filtration and automatic drying - removes cutting oil and micro-metal chips from surfaces, blind holes and internal threads, so parts arrive ready for downstream surface treatment with reliable adhesion.

Finishing Support

Passivation and black oxide, zinc, nickel and chrome plating, anodizing and hard anodizing, PVD, polishing and sandblasting, laser marking and cleaning are coordinated after machining.

Process Selection

Process selection is based on geometry, tolerance, material, volume and quality requirements, across CNC Swiss turning, automatic turning and turn-mill equipment including Tsugami, Citizen, Miyano and Star.

Boundaries and Ordering

Pricing and lead time are quoted at the feasibility stage together with the process route and inspection plan. Send your drawing, material, tolerance, expected volume and quality requirements for a process and tolerance review. NDA available, custom documentation and global shipping support.
